Ada’s 1st (unhappy, but successful) Haircut

Ada has her first haircut by dad while visiting DC. She had been wearing cloth headbands for the last 2 months, because she couldn’t see through her bangs. Mama wanted to wait until a year old, but wow, did she need a cut!

The before…

Hamid has quick, steady hands, but… the process was hated by Ada.

Its over in 60 seconds. She forgives her dad! Mama’s comments are seen as silly pesterings in hindsight – fear not dear mama! Hamid enters the all star dad hall-of-fame. Doesn’t she look cute? Papa’s victory and loved by his daughter!

A busy morning

Ada joon is getting very busy.  Lots to discover and unload in each room.  Cruising along the cupboards, taking a step or two  to the kitchen island, crawling into the bathroom, dropping toys into the tub, unloading all the books from her bookshelf, pulling down the towels hanging of the stove, and helping me get her food bowls, cups, and spoons out of the cupboard.  These are her daily jobs.

Here she is helping with the yams and onions.  The busy day of a one year old baby girl.  Hi everyone & good morning.

Ada loves her new car from Grandma/pa

Ada received a *special new car* from Grandma and Grandpa for her Birthday.  She loves (!) it.  Pushing it, riding it, beeping buttons, and she puts blocks under its seat.  We had to put it away the first night after she got tired and loopy after sooo many laps around the living room and dining room.  So much fun.

Ada pushes her cart down the sidewalk

Ada decided to wear bright colors today to match the sun, and we took a long walk down the sidewalk this morning. Enjoying the sites, sounds, and textures on the way. Ada is getting good at pushing her cart! Happy Spring to all of you!
