Ada had a great time at her birthday party with her girl friends and Lilly! They made a big Jackson Pollack-style splatter painting together as well as their own. Fun! The adults watched and ate in the other room. Ada danced after cupcakes, and enjoyed her friends. Happy 5 yo sweetheart!
Father’s Day
Ada’s sticker card for Daddy, and some windy kite flying on father’s day. Hamid made a picnic lunch of kefta kabobs he grilled during Ada’s nap. Fun.
Happy Mothers Day
I got this special bunny from Ada for Mother’s Day. (I remember buying a stuffed animal for my mom, really it was just for “her”.) She had a hard time keeping a secret this week, so many cute moments, of spilling the beans. Just before opening it, she said “I know how much you like bunnies! “.
Hamid made today very special, there was a lot of love in the house.
a 2nd Birthday
Ada had a lot of fun on her 2nd Birthday: she sang songs, ate yummy lemon cake, played with friends, enjoyed penguin balloons, jumped up and down on the couch, and was celebrated by many friends and family from afar. She opened presents: books, stuffed animals, a game, an outfit, a jumpy chicken, and a beautiful hand-made hat! It was all-in-all a beautiful day, filled with love, special things, and play — exactly what a 2 year old wants!

Celebrating Ada’s Birthday with Family in DC
Ada celebrated her birthday (for a second time) with all the family in DC in April. What a pretty birthday girl in her special dress!
The whole family…(just missing Navid, sorry you weren’t there!)
And “Here we are at the beach… Hooray!!” (Ada raises her arms and smiles when we say this — its from one of her books! Everyone is joining in the fun.)

Ada’s 1st Birthday
Ada turned 1 on Friday, March 12th, and she had her 1st party on Saturday. Her neighbors and friends came over, and the main activity was singing (led my her music teacher Chelsea)! She loved her first carrot cupcake with cream cheese saffron frosting. The day was sunny and beautiful, she was sweet, and we all had a blast. Here are a few videos of our fun day! We wish all of you were there too!
